If you are looking for a tutor, you’ve come to the right place! Whether you’re overwhelmed by e-learning, looking for a little review help, need ongoing content area guidance, or would like to learn better study and/or organizational skills, I can help!
I have over 14 years’ experience teaching in both public and independent schools in Tampa. I hold a Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science from Wake Forest University, and I graduated with my Masters in Teaching Social Studies Education from the University of South Florida.
I have written curriculum, designed lesson plans, led professional development programs, and most importantly – taught hundreds of incredible students during my career! I also serve as a table leader at the reading for the AP Comparative Government course every summer. I was named the Hillsborough County Social Studies teacher of the year when I taught at Plant High School, and I won a Berkeley Preparatory School Employee Award for Excellence in 2014.
One of the proudest moments in my career happened in the summer of 2020, when I found out that every single one of my 56 students enrolled in AP® Psychology passed their AP Exam, earning an overall average score of 4.31! Over the past 5 years, my students have earned an overall pass rate of 93.4%.
I believe that every student has the ability to learn, grow, and challenge themselves – with the right scaffolding, organization, and encouragement!
I’m excited to meet you and talk about ways that I can help you reach your fullest potential as a student, just as I have done with so many students since 2006!
